Exciting News! Abstract Submission Deadline Extended until April 1, 2024

Latvian Psychiatric Association is hosting the Nordic Congress of Psychiatry for the first time in Riga, Latvia from the 6th – to the 7th of June 2024. We are proud to be one of the member states of the Nordic Psychiatric Association organizing NCP 2024, which is a respectable international scientific psychiatric congress, organized every third year in a Nordic or Baltic country. Our congress theme is “Knowledge and Humanity in Psychiatry”. The program consists of the highest quality scientific presentations with plenary lectures from world-renowned speakers and scientists from Nordic countries who will present their achievements and relevant themes in symposiums. Topics include social psychiatry and understanding the role of the psychiatrist, as well past and the future of psychiatry, also mentioning such important themes as suicide, anxiety, and depression from biological, and clinical perspectives, and featuring more recent methods like neuromodulation.

Greetings from the Latvian Psychiatric Association!

Together with The Nordic Psychiatric Association, we look forward to welcoming you to the 34th Nordic Congress of Psychiatry in Riga, Latvia, on 6th–7th June 2024.

We are excited to host such a traditional and significant event for Nordic and Baltic psychiatrist's communities. Nordic regions always have been on the front lines for defending democracy, humanity, and the independence of individuals. Such values are even important for persons with mental health difficulties, especially after long and not easy COVID time and also during the war in Ukraine. This Congress is also a very good opportunity after a long period of time to see again each other in person, discuss formally and also informally our local – Nordic and Baltic – issues and challenges in psychiatry, listen to distinguished plenary lectures, and enjoy local hospitality.
